Monday 11 Nov – Series 3 Race 12
We had a good turnout of 15 boats for blustery conditions of 15 to 25mph from the South-West. The whole fleet had A rigs, but B rigs would have done well especially in some of the stronger gusts.
In Race 2 John Smith (277) had his battery cover come lose as his boat sank. Fortunately, the lake is shallow and there was still 6″ of mast above the water and we were able to rescue his boat.
We had 7 different winners today and there was then only two points between second and fifth places despite all having mixed results.
Our star performer today was Adrian Wallis (81) with 3 wins and 2 seconds. Ian Proctor (823) was second on countback with 2 wins and 2 seconds and Andy Chapman (291) was third with a win and a second. Fourth was Paul Heaney (422) with a win and 2 seconds and fifth was Rob Andrews (52) with a win an a second.
Graham Baker (122) also had a win in Race 2 and Paul Rogers (492) had a win in Race 4.
