Congratulations to Andy Chapman winning the DF65 Fun Race which rounded off the Monday 2023 / 2024 Series. After the devastation of Storm Bert Monday dawned bright and sunny with a Westerly force 3 – 4. The prize was a bottle of Champagne and the course was to circle all the fixed buoys on the North Lake, in any order the helmsman choose, but finishing at buoy 5. Chaos was expected but did not materialise and great fun was had which surprisingly resulted in a close finish with Adrian Wallis hard on Andy’s heels. A festive prizegiving followed the race with mince pies supplied by Andy Bird & Richard Filer.
