Day 1 of the vane Marblehead team race at gosport, last held in 2007. 16 boats have entered with pairs drawn at random this morning consisting of vintage and classic/ modern combining their score for an overall position. there is a wide range of boats dating from the 1930s right through to the 2000s.

2nd Shaun Wyeth (vintage) & Russell Wyeth (modern) 45pts
3rd Nigel brown (vintage) & Thomas Wyeth (modern) 37pts
3rd Eric meighen (vintage) & Suzanne lewis (modern) 37pts
4th Wayne stobbs (vintage) & lewis Wyeth (modern) 31pts
4th David Lindsay (vintage) & Martin bandey (classic) 31pts
5th max buttimer (vintage) & Anthony warren (modern) 22pts
6th rob dyer (vintage) & David Mather’s (classic) 16 pts
Highest placed modern is Peter fothergill with the full 35pts
Highest placed vintage is Eric meighen with 19pts

Day 2 -After completing a full round the vane Marblehead team race has finished. There were two teams that tied and on countback they also tied on the same amounts of beats and also the same amount of runs so it was decided that both would be awarded first place together these teams were,
Peter fothergill & Derek Moreland and Shaun Wyeth & Russell Wyeth
Second was won won by lewis Wyeth & Wayne stobbs
And third was won by Suzanne lewis & Eric meighen.
Highest placed vintage boat was won by Shaun Wyeth with a “witch” design Marblehead.
Highest placed modern was won by Peter Fothergill with a “starkers” Marblehead.
