Racing Cancelled Due To Draindown

The Lake needs to be drained down to allow overdue repairs to the main sluice. The period chosen for these works is optimum in respects of event affected, tide heights and if the lake is empty during cold weather for about a week, weed growth throughout the year should be inhibited.

Therefore, the following optimum schedule has been agreed with Gosport Borough Council:

• Drain-down __ 8^th– 12^th February 2023.
• Repairs to sluice __ 13^th – 18^th February 2023
• Refilling __ 19^th– 25^th February 2023.
• Anticipate the lake will be usable from the 26^th February 2023

Please note the above dates & periods are subject to fluctuation due to the nature of the works and the effects of weather.
