In the last few days, the weed growth in the Boating Lake has diminished sufficiently to allow us to resume radio controlled model yacht racing. Of course, the conditions are still not perfect, but having tried IOM racing last Thursday, we concluded that the Lake is more or less fit for purpose once again. Unfortunately it is not yet suitable for Vane racing.
The weed will be cut by a GBC contractor from Tuesday 27th August and we are optimistic that this will properly sort the problem out for at least a few weeks.
