Race Abandoned!!!!!

Last Sunday, the 29^th of March was our last Vane A race before Easter but, to say the least, the weather was not kind! The forecast was accurate: wet, very windy and squally. Three brave souls were tempted to sail but the very real possibility of damage to boats meant that common sense prevailed and sadly, the race was cancelled. I hope the attached photograph will give some idea of the conditions at the windward end of the lake. The spray was such that in setting boats off skippers would have got very wet! As the morning wore on the gusts increased from 30 to 40 knots……… It was the right decision, not to sail.
