RC Laser news

The Trojan Cup went well last Saturday with 16 boats taking part including David Pratt with one of the demo boats. The weather was perfect with a good breeze and Sun all day.

The cake that Carol made disappeared quite quickly (Nick seemed to enjoy it a lot). Thanks to Carol for making it.

The racing was very close throughout the whole fleet, we had 4 different race winners but in the end Chris Treagust was the clear winner with Colin Cooper 2^nd and myself in 3^rd place, all winning a bottle of wine each. David got on well with the demo boat and showed some creditable performance. He was not put off by the number of boats on the start line and we hope to see him again soon at the club.

The scoring system is different to what we are used to and high scores are best. It is based on the number of boats that you beat on any particular day and perhaps gives a better series result as the more boats you beat in a race then the more points you will achieve for the overall series.
