Race Report by Paul Edwards
What a good days sailing, the wind out of the North Northeast at eight
to fourteen knots making for a tough course to set and sail, gusts and sharp
wind shifts making the beats anything but straight forward.
It was good to see Graham Wyeth on the water with his sword and sailing
very well.
The racing is close with all skippers in a position to win races making
for close and competitive competion.
Let’s do it again in three week’s time.
In the end a very close result for the win with just one point between
Peter Fothergill’s net 18 and Derk
Morland’s 19.
Derek had the better morning but Peter’s later surge meant that with 4
race wins each and 3 2nds each, it came down to 3rds and 4ths to decide.
