It was a fast and furious days sailing for round 2 of the IOM AM&PM series.

14 skippers braved the brisk breeze and poor forecast to turn out lakeside, the breeze which at times reached the top end of B rig.

Race officer duties were undertaken by Rod Carr and Paul Edwards, as Rod’s boat was a non starter. A windward leeward course was set with a gate at the leeward end creating two very long beats and some exciting downwind sailing with skippers sometimes running to keep up with their boats, even myself breaking into a trot.

The racing was extremely close with no one skipper dominating the racing there were no less than 5 different skippers winning races across the day. We finished having sailed 14 races and everybody went home with wind burnt faces, ruffled hair and a smile!
